Goddamn, first post on my actual LJ in a long time. First of all, I apologize for the lack of fic from me. School has been the biggest bitch ever. Homework every bloody night and it takes forever to do as well. Pain in the arse, is what it is and it keeps me from doing anything I really want to on the weekdays. However, I decided to multitask tonight and post.

The lovely bluesenough tagged me to write down 23 of the songs I'm into right now, and I'm not going to tag anyone as of yet because she's the only person on my f-list who has been updating their LJ. I'm not going to explain all of these songs because really, they're all great and I can't put into words why I love them so much. Thse songs have that little something that makes a song great. And It will take me forever and I want to get writing on more fic (yay!)

In no particular order:

1. Pipettes - Pull Shapes
2. Pipettes - Judy
3. Neil Young- Hey Hey, My My (Out of the Blue)
4. The Hives - Two Timing Touch and Broken Bones
5. The Cribs - Things Are Gonna Change
6. The Cribs - It Was Only Love
7. The Strokes - Juicebox
8. The Strokes - The Modern Age
9. Brian Setzer Orchestra - Jump, Jive 'n' Wail
10. Franz Ferdinand - L. Wells
11. Dropkick Murphies - Black Velvet Band
12. CSNY - Woodstock
13. Johnny Cash & June Carter Cash - Long Legged Guitar Playin' Man
14. Johnny Cash - Folsom Prison Blues
15. Rolling Stones - Dead Flowers
16. Yeti - Midnight Flight
17. Yeti - Keep Pushin' On
18. Dirty Pretty Things - Chinese Dogs
19. Babyshambles - Albion, performed by Drew McConnell at Trafalgar Square
20. Them - Gloria
21. The Phoenix Drive - Supplement
22. Saint Helsinki - Ribtickling (you'll never guess who this actually is)
23. David Bowie - Ziggy Stardust

Fic update

Title: We’ll Love Each Other Forever Chpt. 5
Author: silly_cakes aka. Catherine
Beta: Souppy of course
Rating: R for language and a bit of violence and dirty ideas (kinda)
Disclaimer: Same as always, don’t own, probably never will. This chapter is so crack! that I’m surprised at myself. Anyway, the way I portray Glasgow in this is entirely fictional. I’ve never been there, so I’m making up my own version. Hope no one minds.

Sorry for the delay folks, but the last week has been really busy for me. I was having a hard week at work...at one point I nearly destroyed the scanner. But enough about me, lets get to the fic, shall we?

The other chapters are in my memories, under ‘My own fanfiction.’ Its not f-locked, so anyone can read it.

xx

We'll Love Each Other Forever

Title: We’ll Love Each Other Forever, Chpt. 1&2

Paring: Alex/Nick

Rating: R for language

Beta: MS Word, a friend of mine who goes by the name of Souppy (no, seriously), and myself.

Warnings: I don’t own the boys (unfortunately). This is my first fic, so please, be kind.

Summary: Alex is a poet and a musician. Nick is a rent boy and a Robin Hood figure. Makes for a good story, don’t you think?

The Love of Freedom (revised)

By: Catherine Bromhead

I stand on the grassy hill

And there are mountains to the West.

I feel a yearning in my soul

Enough to tear me apart.

But I want it to.

The wind blows through my hair,

So cold, yet so wonderful.

I feel free.

Music no one else can hear fills my heart.

I need to be here.

I sit in my stone cold chair

And there are white walls around me.

I feel empty in my soul

Threatening to cave in.

Please, make it stop.

The air is stifling

So cold, and it is terrible.

I feel trapped.

The silence is deafening in my ears.

I need to get out.

Death

Do what you wish; it comes to us in time.

Everyone has to go sometime, it is certain.

And I am not afraid.

The sweet release from life, I am awaiting.

Heaven seems close---for I am going home.

Rainy Day

The water drips down
From the leaves onto the grass
On the rainy day

Yeah its short, but its a haiku. I rather like it, actually.

Can You Imagine?

Can you imagine...
The world without war
No one had a sore

Where people were all the same
If no one had a name

Music without a sound
Lyrics with no words found

If no one had a friend
No one to defend

Can you imagine?

End of The World

The end
is near.
I feel
it coming.
The end
of our race
is unstoppable.
Apocalypse
is now.

Yeah yeah, I know I put the Apocalpse is now in there, but it seemed appropriate at the time. I don't own the film or the title, so don't sue me.

Night

Night
Dark, Starry
Haunting, Frightening, Forbidding
Its when you sleep
Night

Wind

Wind
Blowing
Drifting Leaves
Blustery days
Pushing me 'round
Pushing me 'round
Zephyr
Wind

Hello again.

I decided to post the list of songs that I think rock (at the present time). I have been branching out lately. I figured that you guys might want to know.

What Became of the Likely Lads - The Libertines
L. Wells - Franz Ferdinand
Glass Danse - The Faint
Eve of Destruction - Barry Mcquire
Its My Life - Bon Jovi
Angel - Sarah McLaughlin

My first post...

Alright, well, I have decided to make a livejournal. Wow. Never thought that would happen. But I have been going through some changes in what I like to do and stuff.

So this was my introductory post....kinda short. But I'll make them longer in the future.

Cheers.
